Intro to Sculpting in Cement: Make and Paint a Cement Sphere

Class Description:
THIS IS A 2-DAY WORKSHOP.
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the basics of sculpting with cement by creating your own hollow sphere. This all level-friendly class will guide you through the process of mixing, molding, and refining your sphere before adding your personal artistic touch with paint. Whether you prefer a natural stone-like finish or a bold, colorful design, you’ll leave with a unique, hand-crafted piece to display in your home or garden.
No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity and enthusiasm! All materials will be provided.

Teacher Info:
Jessica grew up in Philadelphia. She holds a BFA in painting from the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) and an MSW from Temple University. Her sculpture centers around the spherical shape, creating hollow cement spheres using yarn, acrylic, and paint. Her sculptures range in size from 5 to 50 inches, sit on various bases, and are designed for outdoor durability. A member of several arts organizations, Jessica has received multiple grants and awards. She continues to exhibit, teach, and engage with the arts communities in both South Jersey and Philadelphia.
